Situated at the northwest corner of Santan Village Parkway and Pecos Road, the park provides a serene environment for both active and passive recreation.

Water Features

The park features two lakes that use reclaimed water, adding a picturesque element to the landscape and providing opportunities for fishing as part of the community fishing program.

Trails and Paths

The park's layout includes a network of multi-use trails, allowing visitors to enjoy walks, jogs, or bike rides throughout the grounds.

These trails also accommodate equestrians, making the park accessible to a variety of outdoor enthusiasts.

The park also includes two lighted basketball courts and two lighted sand volleyball courts, providing ample space for team sports and recreational games.

Children's Area

A small playground area with climbing rocks and swings is available for younger visitors, though it's worth noting that the playground facilities are not the park's primary focus.

Discovery Park also incorporates educational elements, featuring a butterfly garden and a learning path that adds an interactive dimension to visits.

The park's name itself has historical significance, as it was chosen to commemorate the discovery of Columbian Mammoth fossils near the site during its construction.
