Civic Square Park

The Heart of Goodyear

Civic Square Park sits right next to the new Goodyear City Hall and Public Library, forming a campus-like setting that blends public services with outdoor relaxation in Goodyear, Arizona. This thoughtfully designed two-acre space emerged from the Goodyear Civic Square project, creating what has quickly become the community's favorite gathering spot.

It functions as a central outdoor space for the city, complete with those characteristic Arizona skies overhead.

Where Community Happens

The park regularly hosts community activities throughout the year. The park is the go-to venue for festivals, concerts, and seasonal celebrations that bring residents together.

One of the park's biggest draws? The regular food truck events and evening marketplaces that bring local vendors together. During the holidays, the Square transforms into a winter wonderland for the Holidays on the Square celebration, complete with twinkling lights, vendor booths, festive music, and even an ice skating rink (yes, in Arizona!).

What You'll Find There

The park includes amenities for both activity and relaxation. A sprawling grassy area provides plenty of space for kids to run around while adults can kick back on the numerous benches and tables scattered within the grounds - ideal for impromptu picnics or taking your lunch break outdoors.

Feeling playful? Challenge your friends to outdoor table tennis, cornhole, or a strategic game of chess on the oversized boards. And don't forget to snap a picture with the Goodyear sign - it's practically a requirement for documenting your visit.

Family and Pet-Friendly Space

Civic Square Park is family-oriented with well-maintained grounds and a kid-friendly atmosphere. When nature calls, you'll appreciate the accessible public restrooms with exterior entrances connected to the civic center.

Your four-legged family members are welcome too! The park is dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your leashed pets along for some fresh air and socializing.

Far From Just Weekends

During weekdays, the park functions as a refreshing escape for employees from the nearby city hall and surrounding offices. You'll spot workers enjoying their lunch breaks under the Arizona sun or taking a moment of peace between meetings.

Come evening and weekends, the space opens up to everyone, hosting community gatherings and providing a pleasant spot for families to unwind. The park also serves practical civic functions - some locals know it as their regular voting location during elections.
