History and Dedication
Larry L. Maxam Memorial Park was originally established in 1952 as Pacific Park. It was later renamed to honor Lance Corporal Larry L. Maxam, a Medal of Honor recipient who was killed in action during the Vietnam War.
On April 17, 2010, the park was officially dedicated as Larry L. Maxam Memorial Park in recognition of Corporal Maxam's heroic service. This renaming serves as a tribute to his sacrifice and ensures that his memory continues to be honored within the Burbank community.
