A Reimagined Community Oasis

If you've been to Loma Verde Park recently, you might not recognize it. Following a $22 million renovation completed in December 2023, this once-outdated spot has transformed into a 25,800 square foot Recreation and Aquatic Center that's bringing new activities to the neighborhood.

What makes this renovation special? The designers didn't just decide what to build on their own - they actually listened to the community. Local residents, Parks and Recreation staff, and facility employees all contributed their ideas, creating a space that truly reflects what the community wanted and needed.

Make a Splash

The park now features two pools for different needs. There's an Olympic-size competition swimming pool where you can practice your freestyle, watch diving competitions, or cheer on water polo matches. For those just learning or needing a gentler environment, the therapy/teaching pool provides a fantastic setting for swimming lessons or low-impact senior swims.

The sprayground lets kids cool off and play in water features without the depth of a traditional pool. And when competitions roll around, there's plenty of deck space and bleacher seating for spectators to watch all the aquatic action.

Indoor Possibilities

Step inside and you'll come across something for everyone. The multipurpose gymnasium accommodates various sports and activities, while dedicated dance rooms offer space to perfect your moves. Feeling creative? Head to the crafts room. Need a workout? There's a fitness room available. And for some good old-fashioned fun, the game room provides entertainment options for all ages.

The center doesn't forget the practical stuff either - there are staff offices, comfortable changing facilities for lifeguards and visitors, and convenient break rooms.

The Great Outdoors

The fun doesn't stop at the building's edge. Outside, you'll discover exterior workout areas where you can exercise in the fresh air and a playground where kids can climb, slide, and play to their hearts' content.
