About the Location

Historical Significance

Pinkley Park was named after Alvin "Pink" Pinkley, one of Costa Mesa's founding fathers. Mr. Pinkley was elected to the city's second City Council in 1954 and went on to serve for 23 years, including three terms as mayor.

The park was dedicated in 1978 and encompasses 2.58 acres of public space located on E. Ogle Street.

Playground Features

The children's playground area offers several unique elements that make it appealing for young visitors. Small shade sails provide relief from the sun, and the ground is covered with woodchips for safety.

Kids will enjoy the special play features including butterfly wings to climb on, a drum, a steering wheel, and slides that provide hours of entertainment.

Park Amenities

The park offers a pleasant mix of open spaces and shaded areas, making it suitable for various recreational activities throughout the day.

Visitors will find convenient picnic tables available throughout the park, including one located next to the playground, making it easy for families to enjoy outdoor meals while supervising children.
