About the Location
Play Your Way
Located in northwest Fresno's Fig Garden Loop area, this 5-acre neighborhood space offers outdoor fun and relaxation. With its well-kept grounds and family-friendly vibe, Figarden Loop Park welcomes visitors daily from 8AM to 10PM.
It's a well-maintained park - clean, inviting, and suitable for various outdoor activities.
Sports for Everyone
The park's baseball field hosts everything from casual practice sessions to competitive local games. Part of a larger baseball complex within the park, it's where future MVPs get their start and weekend warriors show off their skills.
There's even a batting net available, well-suited for working on your swing without chasing balls all afternoon.
Kid-Approved Fun
The playground area is designed with children in mind. It's thoughtfully designed with separate sections for different age groups - toddlers have their own safe space while older kids can tackle more challenging structures.
Parents will appreciate that much of the equipment sits under shade, keeping the summer sun at bay.
On hot Fresno days, the splash pad becomes the park's main attraction. It's spacious enough that kids aren't crowding each other, with water sprinklers spread out just right for maximum splashing joy.
You can easily keep an eye on the water fun from nearby seating areas - maybe even with an ice cream in hand from one of the vendors that sometimes stop by during summer months.
Picnic Perfect
Bringing lunch? The park offers excellent picnic facilities across the grounds. Multiple tables and barbecue grills are available for impromptu meals, while a large covered gazebo area with several BBQs stands ready for birthday parties and family reunions.
It's a good setup for gatherings with family and friends.
Easy to Navigate
Paved pathways wind through the park, making it accessible for everyone whether you're pushing a stroller or just enjoying a leisurely walk. The landscape balances open grassy areas with trees that offer welcome patches of shade.
You'll find the restrooms are kept in good condition - clean and even equipped with hot water, which is a surprisingly nice touch for a neighborhood park.
While parking is available, it can fill up during popular times, so you might want to arrive early for weekend visits or special events.
Beyond the Basics
Dog owners, feel free to bring your leashed four-legged friends along to enjoy the green spaces. If you're feeling adventurous, check out the walking trails that extend to the back of the park near a waterfowl refuge area - a peaceful spot for nature observation.
The park is regularly used for birthday celebrations, casual meetups, and as a place to unwind.
