About Emery Park in Fullerton
Emery Park is an 8.2-acre neighborhood park in Fullerton, California. Established in 1980, this urban green space offers a peaceful retreat for local residents and visitors alike.
The park features a winding pathway that provides an opportunity for relaxing strolls and exercise walks. The trail is lined with trees, creating a cool and shaded environment, particularly pleasant during morning hours. Notably, some of the trees in the park house specially made birdhouses, offering a habitat for local bluebirds that keen observers might spot during their visit.
Emery Park is set to undergo improvements in the near future. Construction has begun on a new picnic area and an ADA-accessible walkway from Sunny Ridge Drive. Additionally, a new playground is expected to be installed by Summer 2025, enhancing the park's recreational offerings for children.
The park's layout includes a large wash area, which is a natural feature of the land. This deep and wide wash continues south through a tunnel under a street, connecting to a meandering sidewalk between condominiums. This feature not only adds to the park's natural aesthetics but also serves as a pathway for local residents to access the park.
While Emery Park may not offer expansive views or elaborate facilities, it serves as a valuable community space, providing a green oasis within the urban environment of Fullerton.
