About Gale Webb Action Sports Park
A Premier Bike Park
Located on Craig Avenue in Menifee sits the Gale Webb Action Sports Park - six acres dedicated to action sports that's become popular with bike enthusiasts since its completion in late 2022. No matter if you're a seasoned pro or just finding your balance, this park has something for everyone.
The park honors Gale Webb, a local Menifee resident whose passion for children and action sports earned her spots in both the Skateboarding Hall of Fame and the BMX Hall of Fame. Pretty impressive credentials for the park's namesake!
Ride-Ready Features
The heart of the park is its massive 22,000-square-foot pump track crafted by the experts at Velosolutions. With its twists and turns, riders can enjoy a variety of challenges. If you're just starting out or have little ones in tow, there's also a smaller oval track that's fantastic for beginners finding their wheels.
Feeling adventurous? The park offers three jump lines ranging from beginner-friendly to expert-level challenges. The park used around 2,000 cubic yards of dirt to build these features. The dirt section includes some jumps that can challenge even experienced riders.
Learn the Ropes
New to cycling or mountain biking? No worries. The park includes a dedicated skills area where you can work on your technique in a safe environment before tackling the more challenging sections.
The beginner course is great for families with young riders. Some parents have mentioned their kids gained enough confidence after just one visit to ride without training wheels. Whether you're into skateboarding, BMX, scooters, or mountain biking, you'll find others with similar interests here.
Good to Know
The park never closes, but the pump track lights shut off at 10 pm, with parking lot lights following 20 minutes later. You'll find portable restrooms that are kept clean and drinking water available.
The facility is well-maintained with regular improvements to the tracks and jump lines. There are some benches around, but if you're planning to hang out for a while, bringing your own chairs isn't a bad idea.
Award-Winning Design
The park has received recognition for its design. The California Park and Recreation Society (CPRS) presented Menifee's Community Services Department with the Award of Excellence for creating Southern California's largest bike park of its kind.
The award acknowledges the park's planning, design, community involvement, maintenance standards, accessibility, and versatility.
