Gale Webb Action Sports Park

The Gale Webb Action Sports Park, located in Menifee, California, is a significant recreational facility spanning six acres. Completed in late 2022, it stands as one of Southern California's largest and most comprehensive bike parks. The park is named after Gale Webb, a Menifee resident known for her dedication to children and action sports, who has been inducted into both the Skateboarding Hall of Fame and the BMX Hall of Fame.

The centerpiece of the park is a 22,000-square-foot pump track designed and built by Velosolutions. This track features numerous turns and opportunities for riders to be creative, making it suitable for various skill levels. The park also includes three jump lines categorized as beginner, medium, and expert, catering to different riding abilities. For the construction of these features, approximately 2,000 cubic yards of dirt were brought in.

In addition to the bike-oriented facilities, the park includes a skills area designed for new cyclists and mountain bikers. This component aims to help riders develop and improve their techniques in a controlled environment. The park's diverse offerings make it attractive to skateboarders, BMX riders, and mountain bikers alike.

The Gale Webb Action Sports Park has garnered recognition for its design and community impact. The California Park and Recreation Society (CPRS) awarded Menifee's Community Services Department with the Award of Excellence for the park's design, acknowledging it as the largest bike park of its kind in Southern California. This award recognizes the park's high standards in planning, design, community involvement, operation and maintenance, aesthetics, usability, accessibility, and versatility.

The park is open from dawn to dusk, allowing residents and visitors to enjoy its facilities throughout the day. Its location on Craig Avenue in Menifee makes it accessible to the local community and has contributed to an increase in bike sales at nearby shops, indicating its positive impact on local businesses and the promotion of active lifestyles.
