Park Overview

Found in Menifee on School Park Drive, Lyle Marsh Park spans a comfortable 6.07 acres of community space that's easy to reach whether you're a local or just passing through.

The park centers around a spacious open grass field that's great for throwing a frisbee, having an impromptu picnic, or just lounging with a good book. Just a heads up - you might notice some areas of the grass have fallen victim to the local gopher population. They're persistent little residents!

Recreational Facilities

If soccer is your game, you'll appreciate the soccer field complete with goal posts. Whether you're organizing a friendly match with friends or watching your kids practice their skills, it's a well-maintained space for the beautiful game.

The park also features a drinking fountain (always handy on warm days) and a children's playground that provides a safe, fun environment for the little ones to burn off energy. Picnic Areas

Gathering with friends and family is made easy at Lyle Marsh with its two picnic shelters. Each shelter comes with built-in lighting, creating a cozy atmosphere that extends your outdoor time even as the day winds down.

You'll find tables and barbecue grills at each shelter, making it simple to host anything from a birthday celebration to a weekend cookout. Just note that you'll want to plan for trash disposal and hot coal management, as these aren't provided directly under the shelters.

Shade and Landscaping

One of the park's best features is its mature shade trees dotted around the grounds. On hot California days, these trees are absolute lifesavers, creating cool spots where you can escape the sun's intensity.

The park's gazebos add additional shaded retreats where you can sit and chat, enjoy a snack, or simply watch the world go by. They're perfectly positioned to take advantage of the park's natural beauty.

Reservations and Parking

If you're planning a larger gathering, the large picnic shelter is available for reservation. As of August 2014, renting this space cost $15 per hour for residents and $25 for non-residents, plus a $25 processing fee. (Prices may have changed since then, so it's worth checking current rates.)
