Found in Murrieta, Antelope Hills Park offers a nice array of spots to play and unwind. There's an amphitheater that's suitable for small gatherings or casual performances.

The grass areas provide space for picnics or games of frisbee. If you're feeling a bit more competitive, the two half-court basketball courts are great for a quick pickup game or practicing your jump shot.

The Lay of the Land

This park is actually quite spacious at 61.5 acres, but it's interestingly divided between a cozy active park area of just 1.5 acres and a sprawling natural area that takes up the remaining 60 acres.

You'll find it right off Carlton Oaks Street, nestled beside Antelope Hills Elementary School. It's a bit of a hidden spot that's often peaceful and uncrowded, even on weekends.

Natural Beauty

The extensive natural section gives this park a distinct character. Mature trees create a natural canopy throughout, offering welcome shade during those warm California days.

The bike paths winding through the natural area are ideal for a morning jog, an evening stroll, or a leisurely bike ride. The trails offer a nice way to experience nature close to the residential area.

Handy Amenities

Several picnic tables are available throughout the park for family lunches or social gatherings. The BBQ pits are there when you're in the mood for some outdoor cooking - just remember to bring your own charcoal.

Note that there are no public restrooms available, so plan your visit accordingly.
