Park Overview

Los Amigos Park is a 3.4-acre recreational area located in the southwest part of Rancho Cucamonga, California. The park was developed on previously vacant city-owned land along Madrone Avenue and opened to the public in 2017.

Despite its relatively small size, the park has been thoughtfully designed to maximize space, creating a diverse and functional community gathering place. The park's layout includes several distinct areas connected by walking paths and a charming pedestrian bridge that crosses decorative stone streams.

Recreation Facilities

This community-designed park offers a variety of features catering to different interests and age groups. The park includes a skate spot designed primarily for beginners, providing a space for novice skaters to practice their skills. The circular flow design features interesting obstacles including ledges that encourage different skating styles.

For sports enthusiasts, there is a full-size basketball court with well-maintained hoops where visitors can engage in friendly games or improve their techniques.

A large open field provides ample space for informal soccer games and other field activities, making it versatile for various types of recreation.

Fitness and Play Areas

Los Amigos Park promotes fitness and well-being with its outdoor exercise area, equipped with various fitness equipment for adults to maintain their physical health.

Families with children can enjoy the shaded playground with separate areas for tots and children over five years old. The play structures are modern and well-maintained, featuring toddler swings but no sand areas.

The park's design includes plenty of trees providing natural shade throughout the space, making it comfortable even on warmer days.

Unique Features

One of the distinctive elements of the park is its water misters shaped like raccoons and coyotes, designed to help visitors stay cool during hot weather.

The park also incorporates community art, including a tile project created by students from Los Amigos School, showcasing their interpretation of friendship.
