About the Location
Park Features
Situated in Roseville, California, Paul J. Lunardi Park spans a comfortable 8 acres of neighborhood greenspace. Opening in 2008, it was the city's 58th park addition.
The park offers plenty of open grassy areas and turf fields where you can kick a soccer ball around or simply stretch out with a good book. A winding decomposed granite trail meanders through the grounds, meant for your morning jog, a casual stroll, or a leisurely bike ride.
Natural Areas
One of the park's quiet highlights is its native wetland area, adding a touch of wilderness to your visit. We love how the designers thoughtfully balanced active recreation spaces with these more tranquil natural sections, giving you options whether you're feeling energetic or contemplative.
Amenities
Kids will gravitate toward the school-aged play structure and swing area - essentials for burning off that boundless energy. When hunger strikes, covered picnic tables provide welcome shade for family lunches or small gatherings.
Dog parents, you haven't been forgotten! Your furry friends can refresh themselves at the doggie water fountain, making this a practical stop during those daily walks. No need to pack extra water bottles just for Fido.
Historical Background
The park bears the name of Paul J. Lunardi, a dedicated public servant who was part of the Roseville City Council from 1950 to 1959. During this time, he served two terms as mayor (1954 and 1958) before moving on to represent the area as both a California State Assemblyman and later as a State Senator.
