William H. Cilker Park

Your Neighborhood Retreat

The park bears the name of William H. Cilker, who was quite the agricultural pioneer in the area. Before Silicon Valley was filled with tech campuses, Cilker was growing apricots and prunes in Santa Clara, and even ran one of the first wineries in Los Gatos. Sadly, he was taken too soon by typhoid fever, leaving behind four children who each went on to make their own mark on the valley.

The park named in his honor sits at the corner of Chynoweth Avenue and Winfield Boulevard. It's not massive or flashy, but it offers just the right mix of open space and amenities for when you need a breath of fresh air.
