Chepa's Park is a small 0.41-acre neighborhood park located near the intersection of Custer Street and Stafford Street in Santa Ana, California. The park is situated in the Logan Barrio area of the city and provides recreational space for local residents.

Meaningful History

Named after Josephine "Chepa" Andrade, a longtime Logan resident and Santa Ana activist, the park stands as a testament to community involvement. Andrade was known for her efforts to preserve the Logan neighborhood from industrialization and freeway expansion during her lifetime.

In recognition of her contributions, the Santa Ana City Council declared December 16, 2021, as Josephine "Chepa" Andrade Day.

Facilities & Activities

The park offers basic amenities for visitors, including a playground for children and a basketball court. It serves as a gathering place for community events, such as the annual Historic Logan Barrio Reunion, which has been held at the park.

Future Improvements

In recent years, there have been plans to redesign and improve Chepa's Park. The City of Santa Ana has proposed a project to demolish and reconstruct a new community center at the site, as well as implement various park improvements.
