Located in the Crooked Creek neighborhood of East Elk Grove, Stockton, Unity Park is a cozy 5-acre green space that sits along Wayne Heintz Street. As a recent addition to the area, this nearby retreat was built as part of Benefit Zone 11 to give locals a place to relax and play close to home.

Community Planning

What makes Unity Park special is that it truly reflects what residents wanted. The Cosumnes Community Services District Board of Directors didn't just approve a pre-designed plan - they engaged the community first. Through two workshops at Edna Batey Elementary School, neighbors shared their ideas and helped shape what the park would become. It's a space built by the community, for the community.

Whether you're looking to burn some energy or just enjoy some fresh air, Unity Park offers several options. Kids can let loose in the playground area, which has become a favorite spot for families in the neighborhood. If you're in the mood for some light exercise, take a lap or two around the walking path that loops through the park.

Planning a family get-together? The park offers a shelter area with picnic tables that you can use without reservations - just show up and claim your spot. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the basketball courts and tennis courts, while those who love a good outdoor meal can take advantage of the grilling area.

The park welcomes visitors daily from 6:30AM to 10PM, giving you plenty of time to enjoy all it has to offer. Just note that there are no public restrooms available, so plan accordingly. You'll find street parking available when you visit.
