About Voorburg Park
Sister City Connection
Found in Temecula, California is Voorburg Park, a cozy 0.75-acre green space with an interesting history. Dedicated back in July 1995, the park was named to celebrate Temecula's sister city relationship with Voorburg, Netherlands - a friendship that lasted from 1993 through 2019.
Trail Access and Features
This little pocket park offers a wonderful breather for anyone exploring the area. Sitting right alongside the Santa Gertrudis Trail, it's an ideal spot to catch your breath if you're out for a walk or bike ride.
There are some mature trees that cast welcome shadows across the grounds, however you might want to bring your own shade on particularly sunny California days - a pop-up canopy or umbrella would do the trick.

Playground and Recreation
The centerpiece of Voorburg Park is a pirate ship playground that's popular with local families. Kids love scrambling over the themed play structures and hopping between the large rocks that dot the playground area.
The pirate-themed fun continues with swings and additional play equipment nearby. For the more sports-minded visitors, there's a half-court basketball court waiting for a quick game, plus open grassy areas meant for kicking around a soccer ball or tossing a football.
Picnic Facilities
For outdoor meals, the park has several picnic tables arranged across the grounds, providing some privacy between groups. If you're planning to make a day of it, you'll appreciate the designated grilling area for cooking up something tasty. The combination of places to eat and play makes this spot particularly good for family get-togethers.
Visitor Information
You're welcome to bring your four-legged friends along, but do keep them leashed at all times. Note that there aren't any public restrooms available, so plan accordingly.
While the park is well-maintained and clean, keep in mind that parking can be a bit tricky since it's nestled within a residential neighborhood. You might need to walk a short distance from where you park your car.
