Tucked away at 815 Elmira Road in Vacaville, California, Play 4 All Park is the kind of place that makes you smile the moment you see it. This inclusive playground, which opened in late 2022, took years of planning and fundraising to realize. The community continues to support expansions as different phases of construction unfold.

A Playground That Welcomes Everyone

What stands out about this park is the thoughtfulness behind every detail. The whole space is designed so kids of all abilities can play side by side. Whether a child uses a wheelchair, walker, or has other special needs, they'll find equipment that's both safe and genuinely fun.

The playground was brought to life by Landscape Structures from Minnesota, following the vision of Play 4 All's President, Tom Phillippi of Phillippi Engineering. Parents can breathe easy knowing the entire playground is fully enclosed with double-gated entrances - a smart safety feature with busy roads nearby.

Play Features That Actually Work for Everyone

Instead of bark that can be difficult to navigate, you'll come across a rubber surface throughout the playground that makes moving around easier for everyone. The play area is packed with all the good stuff: multiple slides, climbing structures, swings, and spinning rides that kids love.

The zipline is particularly popular with children of all ages. What's particularly thoughtful is how many rides are specifically designed to accommodate users of different sizes, abilities, and ages - nobody gets left out of the fun.

On those hot California days, shade sails cover parts of the playground to keep things cooler. As the newly planted trees grow, there'll be even more natural shade to enjoy.

More Than a Playground

Need a break? The park features several covered gazebos with picnic tables arranged in a welcoming circle around a central courtyard. These shady spots are great for catching your breath, having lunch, or just watching the kids play.

You'll discover clean restrooms on-site, along with water bottle filling stations and drinking fountains scattered throughout - practical touches that make longer visits much more comfortable.

One unique feature that kids particularly love is the paved road circuit designed for bikes, scooters, and RC cars. This is a clever addition that extends the fun beyond the traditional playground equipment.

What's Coming Next

What you see today is just the first phase of Play 4 All Park. The second phase, expected to be completed later in 2023, will bring even more features and amenities to this already impressive space.

Good to Know Before You Go

The park is open daily from 7AM to 8PM. Everything operates on a first-come, first-served basis, however you might be able to reserve certain picnic areas if you're planning an event.

Your four-legged friends are welcome as long as they're leashed, but you might want to leave larger dogs at home since the space is primarily designed for children's activities.
