Located in Arvada is an urban hideaway called Sunrise Park. The children's playground here is ideal for the little ones to burn off some energy while you keep a watchful eye. If you've got younger kids, they'll especially love the well-maintained equipment that's just their size.

Fancy shooting some hoops? The half basketball court awaits your next game. What we love about this court is how it's nestled under the shade of large trees, keeping things cool even on warmer days. Plus, it's rarely crowded, so you can practice those three-pointers without an audience if you're still working on your technique.

The picnic area makes for a lovely spot to enjoy an outdoor lunch, but you'll need to leave your grilling ambitions at home as there are no BBQs provided. Several benches scattered throughout the park offer perfect perches to sit back with a book or simply watch the world go by.

Sunrise Park is a peaceful, clean neighborhood retreat where Arvada residents can enjoy some green space without actually leaving town.

Set within a residential area, this park brings a welcome splash of green to the neighborhood. The modest crowds and low noise levels make it an ideal spot when you need to clear your head or just breathe some fresh air without trekking to a larger park.

Good to Know

There's no dedicated parking lot here, so you'll need to find street parking only when visiting. The park welcomes visitors daily from 6AM to 11PM - plenty of time to catch both the sunrise and sunset if you're so inclined.
