Historic Significance
Established in 1871, Acacia Park holds the distinction of being Colorado Springs' first park. This 3.7-acre urban space was donated by General William Jackson Palmer, the founder of Colorado Springs.

In 2022, the park underwent renovations, including the addition of a new playground with an artistic Ninja Warrior-like climbing structure.
The renovation also added a tot lot with colorful rubberized features, a slide, and a spinner, enhancing the recreational options for younger visitors.
Seasonal Activities
During winter months, Acacia Park transforms to include a seasonal outdoor ice skating rink, typically operational from November to January.
The park also houses a Visitor Hub, which operates seasonally to provide information to tourists and locals alike.
