Charlie and Laura Archibeque Memorial Park

History

Charlie and Laura Archibeque Memorial Park was previously known as Sunrise Park before being renamed to honor former City Council member Charlie Archibeque and his wife Laura.

Playground Features

The playground area is a centerpiece of the park, providing equipment suitable for children aged 2 to 12 years old. The playground includes climbing walls, rope obstacles, monkey bars, a merry-go-round, and slides of varying heights.

A unique feature of the playground is the musical panels, including a guitar and steel drum notes, allowing children to create their own music.

Water Recreation

The park includes a Sunrise Splash Park area, which provides a refreshing spot for visitors during hot summer days. Shaded areas throughout the park offer respite from the sun, with beautiful trees providing natural cover.

Sports and Recreation

For sports enthusiasts, the park includes a full basketball court. Open fields are available for activities such as frisbee and lawn games.
