A smooth, paved walkway hugs the waterfront, good for jogging or walking. Part of the larger Harborside Trail, it connects you to more of New Haven's scenic coastline if you're feeling ambitious.

The park's grassy areas are suitable for picnics and relaxing. And if you're into fishing, you'll fit right in with the regulars who cast their lines from the shore, waiting for the day's catch with that particular patience only anglers understand.

A Food Truck Paradise

Perhaps the true stars of Long Wharf are the food trucks lining the drive. These trucks offer a variety of food options, with Latin American cuisine being particularly common. You'll find Mexican, Cuban, and Puerto Rican dishes among the offerings.
