About the Location
Boating Getaway
Situated in Cape Coral, Rosen Park is that perfect neighborhood spot that doubles as a serious saltwater boat launch facility. It offers access to the Gulf of Mexico via the Caloosahatchee River.
Sitting about 11.2 miles from the Sanibel Causeway Bridge, it's no wonder many locals consider it one of Cape Coral's best launching points. Its convenient location makes it popular with local boaters.
Launch Like a Pro
What makes Rosen Park stand out are its two generously sized boat ramps - each spanning 30 feet wide and 60 feet long. The gradual slope makes life easier when you're launching anything from a modest fishing boat to something more substantial with a longer trailer.
For parking, there are 57 spots for boat trailers and 31 vehicle-only spaces. Just keep in mind there's a parking fee, and yes, they do enforce it.
Beyond the ramps, you'll discover 19 wet boat slips that can accommodate vessels up to 40 feet long. Whether you need a spot for the day or the year, they've got rental options that might work for you.
More Than Boats
Rosen Park sits along the picturesque Chantry Canal, offering more than just boat access. Take a leisurely stroll on the boardwalk, spread out a picnic blanket, or simply watch the parade of boats drifting by. Fishing enthusiasts can try their luck catching snook and snapper from the shoreline.
If you're arriving by water, just turn west at marker #58. Need assistance? The Marine Services team monitors VHF channel 16 to help boaters navigate the area.
Comfort and Convenience
Four covered pavilions dot the park, each equipped with seating, trash bins, and built-in grills for that impromptu BBQ. These shaded retreats are perfect when the Florida sun gets a bit too enthusiastic.
The restrooms are clean and well-maintained - always a plus for a day outdoors. There's plenty of grassy space to relax or walk your four-legged friend, with pet waste stations conveniently placed throughout.
While Rosen Park clearly caters to the boating crowd, you don't need a vessel to enjoy it. Sometimes, the simple pleasure of watching boats glide by, enjoying a sandwich under a pavilion, or taking a quiet walk along the water is all you need. The peaceful atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to disconnect and enjoy the natural soundscape of coastal Florida.
