The paved walking trails that partially wrap around the water create a great setting for morning jogs or afternoon wanderings, although we should mention you can't quite walk all the way around the lake on the sidewalk.

We've spent many mornings watching blue herons stalking through the shallows and listening to the unique calls of limpkins. If you're patient and a bit lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a majestic bald eagle soaring above the lake.
