Recreation Facilities

Spread across 21 acres, this community park offers numerous sports facilities. There are baseball and softball fields, basketball courts, and sand volleyball courts available. If you swing by on weekend mornings, the basketball courts buzz with pickup games bringing together players spanning all skill levels and ages.

The park also has a skate park that's suitable for beginners who are just getting comfortable on wheels. Just a heads up: there's a small fee to use this area. Don't worry about staying hydrated; water fountains are conveniently placed nearby.

Children's Play Area

Kids can romp around in a spacious playground sheltered by a large awning - a blessing during those sunny Florida days. Safety is clearly a priority here, with separate zones designed for toddlers and older children. The tall slides are popular with younger visitors.

A relatively recent and welcome addition is the splash pad right next to the playground. It's a wonderful spot for little ones to cool off when the temperature climbs. While there are umbrellas providing some shade, seating is somewhat limited, so you might want to bring your own chairs if planning an extended visit.

Fitness Opportunities

If you're looking to get your steps in, the park's walking trail circles the perimeter for about a mile. The full loop stretches roughly 3/4 of a mile, with a shorter half-loop option just under 1/2 mile. With moderate shade and evening lighting, it accommodates walks at almost any time of day.

Exercise stations are dotted along the path, featuring equipment like dip bars and pull-up stations for mixing cardio and strength training.

Picnic and Gathering Spaces

The park has plenty of green space for lounging and socializing. Two picnic pavilions serve as ideal gathering spots for families and groups. These can be reserved for special occasions, however they tend to fill up quickly, so booking ahead is a smart move.

You'll come across tables and benches throughout these areas, making impromptu picnics or planned events equally manageable. There are a few BBQ grills available too, but they're in high demand - especially on weekends. Coming early or bringing a portable charcoal grill might save you some waiting time.

Betti Stradling Memorial Park maintains clean restroom facilities at both ends of the grounds - a practical touch that enhances longer visits.

Parking is plentiful and free, so you shouldn't have trouble finding a spot, even during busier hours.

During the year, the Coral Springs Recreation Department uses the park as a venue for programs and events, from organized sports leagues to community gatherings. With extended hours until 10:30 PM most days (10 PM on Sundays), the park remains accessible well into the evening, making it easy to fit outdoor time into your schedule.
