William Randolph Community Park is a 10-acre lakefront park located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The park is situated in the Goulds subdivision of south Miami-Dade County.
Historical Significance
The park is named after William Randolph, an African American pioneer homesteader who founded the Goulds subdivision in the early 20th century. In 1900, Randolph filed a U.S. Homestead Application for a 160-acre tract of land in southern Miami-Dade County, receiving the property deed 12 years later.
In July 1920, he and his wife Ana platted the Goulds subdivision. William Randolph Community Park serves as a tribute to the area's rich history and provides a space for community recreation and nature enjoyment.
