About the Location
Facilities & Amenities
Henry & Ola Park spans several acres in the Old Seminole Heights neighborhood of Tampa, Florida. The park offers a variety of facilities for community use including sports facilities such as soccer fields, baseball fields, and basketball courts.
For families and children, there is a playground area. The park also provides spaces for relaxation and social gatherings, including picnic areas equipped with grills.
To support visitor comfort, the park is equipped with restroom facilities. Additionally, a recreation center on the premises offers opportunities for community programs and activities.
Dog Park
A notable recent addition to the park is the Henry and Ola Dog Park, which opened in early February 2024. This 10,600-square-foot enclosed area provides a spacious playground for canines.
The dog park features newly-planted trees, fresh turf, benches, a picnic table, an ADA-accessible dog fountain, and a dog waste station. Red maple trees planted during the project may reach up to 60 feet at maturity, adding to the park's greenery.
Community Connection
The dog park's creation was the result of a decade-long grassroots community effort. Local residents, including the Seminole Heights Dog Pack, advocated for years to bring a dedicated space for dogs to the neighborhood.
The new facility, costing $150,000, has quickly become a popular gathering spot for dog owners and their pets.
