Honoring Our Heroes
Veterans Memorial Park is a 14-acre park dedicated to honoring veterans of all eras. The park serves as a centralized location for citizens and visitors to memorialize and pay tribute to those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
Memorial Monuments
The park features numerous war memorials, including those for Vietnam, Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, World War I, World War II, and the Spanish-American War. A notable feature is the Fallen Heroes memorial, which honors those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The park also includes a Committed Forces memorial and various other monuments dedicated to specific conflicts and branches of the military.
Veterans Museum
Veterans Memorial Park houses the Rear Admiral LeRoy Collins, Jr., Veterans Museum. This 8,300 square foot facility, completed in 2017, provides veterans access to various programs and benefits.
The museum includes exhibits displaying military artifacts and a multi-purpose space for community meetings and events.
Grounds and Amenities
The park's landscaped grounds offer visitors a peaceful environment for reflection and remembrance. It features walking paths along the Tampa Bay Bypass Canal, with fitness stations interspersed throughout the trail.
The park serves as a venue for regional ceremonies on Veterans Day, Memorial Day, and Patriot Day, as well as various other organized events throughout the year.
