Flamingo Park

A Historic Haven

The park acts like the neighborhood's living room - a place where community happens against a backdrop of historical charm. It sits within the Flamingo Park neighborhood, surrounded by 1920s Mediterranean Revival and Mission-style homes that transport you to another era. Take a moment to check out the local plaques scattered throughout; they tell some fascinating stories about the park's origins.

Natural Beauty

Tree-lined paths wind through open grassy areas excellent for spreading out a picnic blanket or enjoying a good book.

The banyan trees here are impressive - their massive canopies create excellent shade spots for those sweltering Florida afternoons. If you're lucky (and observant), you might spot iguanas lounging in the branches, adding that quintessential tropical Florida touch to your visit.

Things to Do

If you've got kids in tow, the playground area offers a great energy-burning opportunity while you catch a breather.

Benches scattered throughout make it easy to simply sit and soak in the peaceful atmosphere. On particularly hot days, the abundant shade makes this park a welcome refuge from the relentless sunshine.

Artistic Touches

What makes this space special are the art installations that pop up within the grounds - part of West Palm Beach's commitment to public art.

These pieces give the park an extra dimension, offering something interesting to discover around each corner as you explore.

Getting There

Despite its cozy size, the park is surprisingly accessible. Parking is plentiful nearby, making it easy whether you're a local or just passing through the neighborhood.
