Okeeheelee Park

Expansive Recreational Area

Spanning over 1,700 acres, Okeeheelee Park is one of the largest parks in Palm Beach County. The park straddles Forest Hill Boulevard, with entrances on both the north and south sides of the road.

The park features a diverse range of natural environments, including pine flatwoods, wetlands, and several lakes.

Water Activities

Lakes are a central feature of the park, providing opportunities for various water activities. The park's water bodies include specially designed lakes for competitive water skiing, which meet world record capability specifications.

Trails and Nature

Okeeheelee Park offers an extensive network of trails for hiking, biking, and equestrian use. The park includes over 8 miles of paved paths and nature trails, allowing visitors to explore its diverse ecosystems.

The Okeeheelee Nature Center, situated on 90 acres of natural habitat, provides educational programs and exhibits about local flora and fauna.

Sports and Recreation

The park caters to a wide range of sports and recreational activities. It features a 27-hole public golf course, multiple baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, and a BMX track.

The Jim Brandon Equestrian Center, located in the southern part of the park, offers facilities for horse riding and equestrian events.

Okeeheelee Park also includes several picnic areas, playgrounds, and a dog park called Pooch Pines. The park's facilities are designed to accommodate visitors of all ages and interests, making it a popular destination for both local residents and tourists.
