A Local's Retreat

Nestled in the heart of the Bloomfield neighborhood, this park acts as a breath of fresh air in southern Macon's suburban landscape. It's where the community comes together, whether for a casual game on the sports fields or just to let the kids burn off some energy at the playground.

The park falls under the care of the Macon-Bibb County Parks and Recreation system, just one space in their collection of green spaces throughout the county.

Fresh Face for an Old Friend

If you've visited recently, you might have noticed some changes around here. In 2022, the park received quite the glow-up when the Bibb County Commission approved nearly $2.9 million to renovate the Bloomfield athletic complex. This was actually one of the final baseball complexes in the county to get its well-deserved makeover.

What we love about this space is its versatility. You can find a nice mix of indoor and outdoor options that cater to visitors of all ages. From sports fields for the athletically inclined to playground equipment for the little ones, plus indoor spaces where community programs and activities bring neighbors together.
