Wexford Park

A Peaceful Pocket of Green

Found in Joliet, Wexford Park may be small at just 1.2 acres, but this little green area packs a surprising punch. It's the kind of place where you can catch your breath and reset without having to venture far from the city bustle.

With its thoughtful landscaping and intimate feel, this park makes for a wonderful quick escape when you need a dose of nature but don't have time for a major excursion.

Waterfront Wonder

Let's talk about what really makes this park special - the beautiful water view that instantly calms your mind the moment you arrive. There's something about water that just soothes the soul, isn't there?

If you're into fishing, the waterfront area isn't just pretty to look at - it's a surprisingly good spot for casting a line, whether you're a first-timer or have been fishing for years.

Simple Pleasures

Winding through the park is a well-kept walking path that's ideal for those days when you just need to stretch your legs and clear your head.

You can find several benches scattered around the grounds - ideal spots to sit down with a book, enjoy a coffee, or simply watch the world go by. Just note that if you're planning a proper picnic, you'll need to bring your own blanket as there aren't designated picnic tables.

Kid-Friendly Corner

The playground here is a hit with families in the know. With four slides and some creative climbing structures, it offers enough variety to keep the little ones entertained while you take a moment for yourself.

Parents will appreciate that the play area is kept clean and well-maintained - one less thing to worry about when you're trying to enjoy an afternoon out with the kids.
