If you're looking to get some steps in, the park's 0.25-mile paved walking loop might not challenge your marathon training, but it offers a smooth, level path that's just right for a quick lunchtime walk or an easy jog. Dog owners seem to appreciate this loop too - it's just long enough to give your four-legged friend some exercise without making an afternoon of it. The peaceful setting makes it a nice spot to clear your head during a busy day.

Kids have options here with two playground areas to choose from. There's a newer playground featuring more modern equipment, plus an old-school one built on sand (remember those?).
