Detweiller Riverside Park is a serene 124-acre park situated alongside the Illinois River, providing visitors with picturesque views and access to a variety of natural landscapes. Formerly a golf course, the park has been reverted back to a natural setting, offering a loop trail of approximately 1.5 miles.
This trail features a mix of mowed grass, tall grass, and rocky riverbanks. The park's flat terrain makes it suitable for visitors of all ages and fitness levels.

A highlight of the park is its half-mile stretch along the riverbank, where visitors can enjoy close proximity to the Illinois River, particularly in the area known as Upper Peoria Lake. The riverbank trail allows for scenic hiking, though it may become inaccessible during high water levels.
