About Kellogg Woods Park
Bring Your Pup to Play
Guess what? Kellogg Woods Park holds the distinction of being Kentwood's first official dog park. The fully fenced area provides security with separate sections for large and small dogs, plus a double-gated entrance to prevent escapes.
If you're a dog parent, you'll love the secure space where your pup can make new friends and burn off energy. Both you and your furry companion can stay hydrated with the water fountains designed specifically for humans and dogs alike. The park is wheelchair accessible too, ensuring everyone can enjoy the space. While the dog areas are mainly covered with grass and wood chips (prepare for some muddy paws on rainy days!), those doggy drinking fountains are definitely a hit with the canine crowd.
Get Your Game On
Sports lovers will find plenty of options here. With three baseball diamonds and soccer fields, there's plenty of room for both casual games and organized leagues. Just a heads up - one of the baseball fields has a particularly hard infield surface, so slide with caution!
Got kids in tow? The on-site playground will keep the little ones entertained while you relax nearby. And if basketball is more your thing, shoot some hoops at the park's basketball courts.

Chill Out and Recharge
Not feeling particularly athletic? No problem. Kellogg Woods Park offers perfect spaces for unwinding too. The picnic pavilion comes complete with grills, making it an ideal spot for family barbecues or hanging out with friends over good food. The open green spaces invite you to spread out a blanket, read a book, or simply enjoy some fresh air.
You'll come across all the essentials here too - restrooms (typically open during summer months) and even free Wi-Fi for when you need to stay connected. Multiple parking lots make getting to your favorite area of the park a breeze.
Find Your Path
The circular walking track provides a pleasant route for walking your dog or getting in some exercise yourself. Many people find this to be a peaceful escape from daily stress - a place to clear your head and breathe a little deeper.
One thing to note: the park's signage isn't always the clearest, so finding specific areas like the dog park might take a bit of exploring if it's your first visit. Consider it part of the adventure!
