Silver Lake Park surrounds the picturesque Silver Lake, a manmade reservoir formed by a dam on the South Fork of the Zumbro River. The lake covers approximately 34 acres with a maximum depth of 11 feet.

Located just a mile from downtown Rochester, this centrally located park offers an accessible and popular spot for residents and visitors alike.

Trails & Wildlife

The park is renowned for its well-maintained paved trails encompassing a 1.8-mile loop around the lake, perfect for walking, jogging, biking, or rollerblading.

Nature enthusiasts can explore native habitats along the trails, which feature flora aimed at reducing pollution and soil erosion. Birdwatchers will delight in the presence of local and migratory birds, including the iconic Giant Canada geese that frequent the area.
