Historical Significance

Adair Park is a 40-acre urban green space named after Joseph Adair, the first white child born in Jackson County. This park combines natural beauty with recreational facilities, making it a hub for community gatherings and sports events.

Softball Complex

The central feature of Adair Park is its state-of-the-art girls' softball complex comprising seven lighted and fully irrigated softball fields. This facility has gained recognition as a prime location for softball events, including hosting tournaments like the USA Softball Girls Fastpitch Heartland World Series.

Picnic Areas

The park offers four shelter houses with a total of 40 picnic tables, providing ample space for social events and outdoor dining. A shaded picnic area, called "The Bull Pen", further enhances the park's facilities with 18 additional tables.
