Historic Roots

Since its establishment in 1908, Hospital Hill Park has been a 5.68-acre green space in Kansas City, Missouri's historic Hospital Hill neighborhood. The land was generously gifted by Col. Thomas F. Swope, a local philanthropist who wanted to create something lasting for the community.

The park carries a rich history, originally forming part of a larger healthcare complex connected to the City Hospital's development. Bounded by 22nd, Kenwood, 24th, and Gillham streets, it remains a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.
