Park History
Taylor Park is a small urban park located in the Central West End neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. Established in 2008, this compact green space covers an area of 0.03 acres, making it one of the city's smallest parks.
The park was created as part of a land exchange agreement between the city and Barnes Jewish Hospital. It was formerly the site of a dog park before being transformed into its current form.
Features and Design
At the heart of Taylor Park lies a tiered fountain, serving as the central focal point. The park's design incorporates a labyrinth pattern engraved into the natural stone pavement, offering visitors a meditative walking experience.
Informational signage explains the purpose and tradition of labyrinth walking. Taylor Park is enclosed by tall hedges and a small metal fence, providing a sense of privacy and seclusion from the surrounding urban environment.
