Rimpoint Park
About Rimpoint Park
A View from the Edge
Tucked away off Rimrock Road in Billings, Montana, Rimpoint Park sits at the base of the Rimrocks, offering you a peaceful escape with some seriously impressive landscape views. This public space features a large open field with gentle slopes that accommodate a variety of activities, depending on when you visit.
Winter Wonderland
When snow blankets the ground, this park transforms into one of the best sledding spots in town. The moderate inclines are just right if you've got little ones or if someone in your group is trying sledding for the first time. No extreme hills here - just enough slope for plenty of fun without the scary speeds.
On snowy weekends, you'll discover locals gathered here with sleds and thermoses of hot chocolate, creating a warm community vibe despite the chilly temperatures.
Summer Days
As temperatures rise, Rimpoint takes on a new personality. The sprawling grassy areas become meant for throwing a frisbee, kicking a soccer ball around, or simply laying out a blanket for picnicking under the Montana sky. When the breeze picks up, don't forget to bring a kite - the open space and natural wind channels create ideal conditions for getting airborne.
Local Treasure
What makes Rimpoint special is what it doesn't have - crowds. Unlike some of Billings' busier parks, you can usually find your own space here without feeling cramped. This breathing room makes it an ideal spot for families year-round, whether you're building a snowman in January or catching some sun in July.
