The splash pad is particularly appreciated on hot Montana summer days. It's thoughtfully designed with the little ones in mind, making it accessible even for toddlers just finding their water legs. The splash pad typically starts working its magic around Memorial Day, just in time for the summer heat.

Kids also flock to the playground with its updated equipment that offers both fun and safety. We love how they've thoughtfully divided the play area - there's a larger structure where older kids can test their limits, while a separate smaller section caters specifically to the 2-5 year old crowd. With various climbing equipment and baby-friendly swings, there's something to entertain children of all ages and abilities.

Sports Facilities

For the more athletically inclined, Terry Park offers several options. The park houses a ballfield, a basketball court, and an athletic field that accommodate various sports and activities. The expansive grassy area provides plenty of room for impromptu games of frisbee, catch, or just running around burning off some energy.

When hunger strikes, you'll discover multiple picnic sites with movable tables that you can shift to follow the shade throughout the day. There are public restrooms available too - though it's smart to bring some hand sanitizer along as soap isn't always stocked.

Recent Improvements

Terry Park got a nice facelift in spring 2022 with the installation of new playground equipment. What makes this update particularly special is that the community had a voice in choosing the design through a Facebook contest - a nice touch of local democracy at work.

The selected playground design incorporates accessible and inclusive features, ensuring children of all abilities can play together. The park also features a gazebo shelter that you can reserve for events or use on a first-come, first-served basis, making it a go-to spot for birthday celebrations and family get-togethers.

Interestingly, these improvements were funded through an agreement with a cell phone company that purchased rights to install a tower at the nearby fire station - a win-win for connectivity and recreation.

Community Atmosphere

The park is generally clean and well-maintained with a pleasant atmosphere. Even on busy days when multiple gatherings are happening simultaneously, there's enough space and shade for everyone to do their own thing comfortably.
