Tucked away near 66th and Vine Streets in Lincoln, Nebraska, Bethany Park spreads across about 9 acres of green space. This little communal area offers a peaceful retreat for both locals and those just passing through.

With its sprawling grassy areas, you'll discover plenty of room for throwing a frisbee, having a picnic, or simply lounging with a good book. The abundant shade trees create perfect spots to escape the summer heat, while the overall laid-back vibe makes it a natural gathering spot for neighborhood get-togethers.

Recreation Facilities

A recent addition is the Bethany Beginners Disc Golf Course, which opened in 2023. If you've been curious about trying disc golf but intimidated by more challenging courses, this is your spot. The course is intentionally designed with shorter distances and simpler layouts, making it ideal for newcomers or casual players looking to improve their game without the pressure of more demanding courses.

Planning something bigger? The park offers two options: an open shelter with several picnic tables for casual gatherings, and an enclosed pavilion available for rent. The pavilion comes complete with electricity and restrooms, making it usable year-round for birthday parties, family reunions, or community meetings. Just a heads-up though - on particularly hot days, the air conditioning might not keep up with the heat as well as one might hope.

As for restrooms, the general park area has porta-potties available. You might want to toss some hand sanitizer in your bag just in case.
