About the Location

Undeveloped Natural Space

Jensen Park is a large undeveloped urban preserve located in southeast Lincoln, Nebraska. Situated near the intersection of South 84th Street and Yankee Hill Road, the park encompasses approximately 190 acres of land.

While currently undeveloped, Jensen Park is slated to become a major community park for the growing southeast area of Lincoln. The city has plans to develop it into a multi-use recreational space in the future as funding becomes available.

Current Amenities

At present, the park contains some basic amenities that allow for limited recreational use. There are two ballfields available for practices and informal games - one in the southeast portion of the park and another in the southwest.

These fields are suitable for team practices or pick-up games, though they lack more developed facilities.

Recreation Opportunities

The park's large open spaces and natural areas provide opportunities for walking, nature observation, and passive recreation. As a future community park, Jensen Park has significant potential to serve the recreational needs of residents in southeast Lincoln once fully developed according to the city's plans.
