Park Overview
Seng Park at University Place is a 22.1-acre community park located in Lincoln, Nebraska. Situated off N. 49th Street and Francis Streets, the park offers a variety of recreational activities for visitors.
Historical Significance
Previously known as University Place Park, it was renamed in 2018 to honor the Seng family, particularly former Mayor Coleen Seng, for their decades of civic and public service. Coleen Seng represented northeast Lincoln on the City Council from 1987 through 2003 and served as Lincoln's 50th mayor from 2003 to 2007.
Natural Features
The park features Deadman's Run creek, which flows through its center, adding a natural element to the landscape. Visitors can access the park via parking lots located at both the north and south points.
