Parkside Park

Recreation Opportunities

Parkside Park's paved multipurpose recreation trail is the main draw here, winding through the park and connecting all its features in one continuous loop. Whether you're power walking before work, jogging, or taking the kids for a bike ride, the well-maintained path works well for a range of activities.

This green corridor runs between residential backyards and feels like the neighborhood's shared outdoor space - a convenient escape when your own four walls start feeling a bit too familiar.

Park Features

The sprawling green spaces here are basically a blank canvas for whatever outdoor activity strikes your fancy. Toss a frisbee around, set up an impromptu picnic, practice your cartwheels, or simply find a patch of grass to cloud-watch from - the choice is yours.

Got a tennis itch that needs scratching? The fully fenced tennis courts offer an excellent spot to work on that backhand or challenge your neighbor to a friendly match. These cement courts might not be Wimbledon, but they certainly do the job for casual players and aspiring pros alike.

Playground Area

Kids will make a beeline for the medium-sized playground with its classic slides and swings. The sand surface means fewer bumps and bruises from inevitable tumbles. Currently, shade is somewhat limited during peak sun hours - but there's good news! The city has recently planted trees that will grow to provide more cooling coverage in the years to come. Something to look forward to during those hot Nebraska summers.

As a true community gathering place, Parkside Park significantly enhances Omaha's outdoor recreation options. You can access the park daily from 5AM to 11PM, fantastic for early birds and night owls alike. Just remember to plan ahead - there are no public restrooms available here.
