Schroeder Vogel Park

Park Overview

Along S Saddle Creek Road in Omaha, Schroeder Vogel Park offers nearly five acres of green breathing space that has become something of a backyard extension for the surrounding neighborhood.

Recreational Facilities

At the heart of the park stands a full-size basketball court where you can shoot some hoops, challenge friends to a game, or just work on your jump shot in peace. Some days you can find it empty, other days filled with friendly competition.

Beyond the court lies a green open multipurpose field - nothing fancy, just good open space where you can toss a frisbee, kick a soccer ball, or simply stretch out on the grass with a good book.

Playground Area

The playground here has seen many years of use. Yes, some of the equipment has been around for years, but it's still holding up well - a reminder of simpler times when playground equipment was more straightforward.

It's a safe space where neighborhood kids can climb, slide, and make the kind of memories that stick around for decades.

Picnic Facilities

Dotted within the park, you can find several picnic tables that make impromptu outdoor meals a breeze. The tables provide a convenient spot to have a meal outdoors while taking in the park atmosphere.

The areas around these tables are kept clean, making them perfect spots to pause and refuel during your visit.

Recent Improvements

In 2022, the park received some thoughtful updates as part of Omaha's ongoing commitment to its green spaces. Nothing revolutionary - just careful attention to the details that make a neighborhood park work.
