History and Location

Tucked away at 2000 Bennett Street in North Las Vegas, Valley View Park is a charming 5-acre green space that's been a neighborhood staple since 1965. The park is surrounded by single-family homes in one of the city's more established areas.

The park carries some sweet nostalgia for locals - longtime residents fondly remember visiting back in the '70s when it featured a Star Trek-themed ship and a pond. Talk about a blast from the past!

Terrain and Features

Valley View features a rolling landscape with changing elevations - different from the typical flat Nevada park. The centerpiece is a sunken playground with modern equipment, sidewalk games, and even a tetherball court (remember those?).

The playground features a rubber surface for safer tumbles and falls, though some park-goers do miss the traditional wood chip surfaces. Across the grounds, beautiful mature trees cast welcome shadows on hot Nevada days while adding a touch of natural beauty to the scene.
