Shelley Lake Park

Shelley Lake Park is a 53-acre recreational area located in North Raleigh, North Carolina. The park features a large lake surrounded by approximately 2 miles of paved, scenic greenway trails. These trails are part of the larger Capital Area Greenway system and offer a loop around the lake that is popular for walking, jogging, and biking.

The park provides a natural retreat within the urban environment of Raleigh. Visitors can enjoy views of the lake, which is home to various wildlife including ducks, geese, and turtles. Fishing is permitted in Shelley Lake from the dock or pedestrian bridge, though bank fishing is not allowed. Visitors interested in fishing should note that a fishing license is required and they need to bring their own live bait.
