Elmwood Park

Park History

Dating back to the 1950s, this 25-acre park has been an integral part of the community for decades. The park is situated just west of the Sheyenne River, north of 13th Avenue West, providing a scenic natural setting.

Elmwood Park has recently undergone significant improvements to better serve the evolving needs of West Fargo residents. The park district has worked to update and enhance various facilities while maintaining its natural charm.

Facilities and Amenities

The renovation project included removing old infrastructure and improving traffic flow and parking accessibility. New restroom facilities and a concession space have been added to improve visitor comfort and convenience.

The large, enclosed shelter has been retained, with plans for possible future improvements to this structure.

The playground equipment in the north portion of the park, including a popular zip line, remains a favorite attraction for children.

For sports enthusiasts, Elmwood Park provides several athletic facilities. The park now boasts youth baseball fields with state-of-the-art artificial turf infields, enhancing the playing experience for young athletes.

Additional sports amenities include sand volleyball courts and batting cages.
