About the Location

Sports Facilities

Brunsdale Park is home to several baseball fields that cater to players of all ages. You can find two youth baseball fields and one full-size field with an agri-lime infield. Local teams regularly use these spaces for practices and games, with Fargo Youth Baseball having adopted the youth fields.

The park features a pickleball complex. What started as six courts in 2017 (thanks to a generous donation from Tom and Mary Brunsdale) has now expanded to nine pickleball courts as of 2022. If you're into this rapidly growing sport, these courts are popular among local players.

Recreation Areas

If you're visiting with kids, the park offers a medium-sized playground with various equipment to keep the little ones entertained. Adventure-seeking children particularly enjoy the tower of red rope - a distinctive climbing structure that provides just the right amount of challenge for the more daring climbers.

For those looking to get some steps in, the recreational trails are meant for walking, jogging, or biking. The Milwaukee Trail cuts right through the park and connects to Fargo's broader trail network, making it easy to extend your outdoor adventure beyond the park's boundaries.

Amenities

The park comes equipped with basic amenities to make your visit comfortable. There are restroom facilities available, but they're somewhat modest (the men's room has just one urinal and one stall).

There are tables scattered across the grounds - meant for a casual lunch or just taking a breather. During baseball games, there's a concession stand operating, but keep in mind it's positioned a bit away from the main field area.

There's ample parking available, and the park has large, open grassy areas good for throwing a frisbee, having a picnic, or just lounging on a sunny day.

Special Features

A unique educational element at Brunsdale Park is the StoryWalk, created in collaboration with the Fargo Public Library. As you stroll along the Milwaukee Trail, you'll encounter a series of permanent signs that combine reading with physical activity - a clever way to engage both mind and body.

The featured books rotate periodically, so there's always something new to discover if you visit regularly. Don't miss the pretty garden area that adds a touch of color and tranquility to the park landscape.

Winter Activities

The fun doesn't stop when the temperature drops. During the winter months, Brunsdale Park offers a warming house where you can take shelter and warm up during cold-weather activities.

Pet Policy

Four-legged friends are welcome at Brunsdale Park, provided they stay on a leash. Just remember to clean up after your pet to keep the park enjoyable for everyone.
