About the Location
Sports Facilities
The park features multiple baseball fields, including two youth baseball fields and one full-size baseball field with an agri-lime infield. These fields are open for practices and games, with the youth fields being adopted by Fargo Youth Baseball.
One of the park's notable features is its pickleball complex. In 2017, six pickleball courts were constructed through a donation by Tom and Mary Brunsdale. In 2022, three additional courts were added, bringing the total to nine pickleball courts. This addition has made Brunsdale Park a popular destination for enthusiasts of this fast-growing sport.
Recreation Areas
For families and children, Brunsdale Park offers a playground area. The park also includes recreational trails, providing opportunities for walking, jogging, and cycling.
The Milwaukee Trail runs through the park, connecting it to the broader trail network in Fargo.
Special Features
An interesting educational feature of the park is the StoryWalk, installed in partnership with the Fargo Public Library. This self-paced, family-friendly activity consists of a series of permanent signs along the Milwaukee Trail, designed to combine reading and physical activity.
The featured books change periodically, offering a fresh experience for regular visitors.
Winter Activities
During winter months, Brunsdale Park provides additional recreational options with a warming house for visitors to use during cold weather.
