About Cremeans Park
A Bit of History
Found in Columbus's North Linden neighborhood, Cremeans Park spans a cozy 6.639 acres of community green space. While locals might remember it as Pontiac Village Park, it got its current name in 2005 to honor Jerry W. Cremeans, a dedicated athletic coach who made his mark by founding the Northern Independent Athletic Association.
Get Your Game On
Whether you're looking to break a sweat or just toss a ball around, this park offers space for both. The well-kept athletic fields offer plenty of room for whatever sport strikes your fancy, while the basketball courts attract both casual players and neighborhood regulars shooting hoops.
If you've got little ones in tow, there's a small playground area where they can climb and slide to their heart's content. The park has also become something of a home base for local youth athletics, including the Columbus Outlaws youth football and cheer programs who practice here regularly.
ADThe Escape Game at Easton Town Center in Columbus
You can find The Escape Game Columbus at Easton Town Center, right by delicious restaurant options and high-end shopping options. A few of our go-to spots for a pre- or post-game meal include Flip Side Easton, BIBIBOP Asian Grill, and Condado Tacos.
Take a Breather
Not in the mood for sports? No problem. Circle the park on the multi-use trail that winds around the grounds. At 0.32 miles (including the sidewalk stretch along North Broadway), it's excellent for a quick jog or a leisurely stroll to clear your head.
If you're planning to make an afternoon of it, you can find an open-air shelter equipped with two picnic tables, plus five more tables scattered within the park. Fire up one of the charcoal grills and you've got yourself an impromptu cookout spot.
Good to Know
The park keeps things tidy with regular mowing and trash receptacles that help keep litter at bay. Dog parents will appreciate the thoughtful touch of doggie waste bags available for those inevitable moments.
On sunny days, you might want to stake out one of the shady spots early, as the open fields don't offer much coverage from the summer heat.
One thing to note before you visit: there are no public restrooms available here, so plan accordingly.
